Dewaan is a singer/songwriter based in London. Dewaan's musical sound is a fusion of eastern classical with western contemporary music. His melodic eastern classical vocals blend in well with a sufi and folk touch, accompanied by a percussion called the tabla. He is an artist who sings and composes in Urdu,Hindi and Punjabi and his music has been played on BBC Asian Network and BBC sounds. In 2020 and with the pandemic looming, Sam released his first singles and began to establish himself as a solo artist. His singles ‘feeling good’ and ‘Rollo’ received strong support from BBC introducing with Rollo making Tim Robinson’s Fresh Faves list. He subsequently performed on the BBC introducing stage at Bedford Festival in 2022. Wray has since played to audiences at The Bedford, Cargo, The Ned and a sold out Sofar Sounds show.
