farrago throws intimate, no-phone live music house party events in shoreditch & soho platforming the best emerging music artists. we are building a community who are interested in meeting other creatives and making friendships that actually last.

for the last three years, our visual identity has been shaped by one designer working remotely from edinburgh. he’s moving on to build his own business, and we’re looking for the person who’ll carry the visual language of farrago forward - and put their own stamp on it.

you’ll work directly with the founder and the marketing team, and you’ll have real creative ownership.

Responsibilities

• join a weekly call with the marketing team to plan upcoming content
• design event posters for our weekly residency, one-off events & specials
• lead the visual direction of our instagram, tiktok and (soon) youtube channels
• bring your own creative twist to carousels, single posts, story templates and thumbnails
• design merch - stickers, posters, tees etc.
• help shape the visual identity of our events IRL - signage, ticket art, sponsor placements
• maintain and evolve our brand guidelines, font library and asset library
• design email headers and templates for post-event comms
• occasional projects: pitch decks, sponsor one-pagers, partner co-branding
• contribute to a website refresh we’re planning later this year
• co-direct the visual creative vision of farrago alongside the founder

Background

• you’ve been to a farrago house party - this is non-negotiable. we need someone who already gets the vibe. if you haven’t been yet, come to one of our next events on 1st / 8th or 15th july
• a strong portfolio with social-first design work - ideally in music, events, community or culture
• comfortable in adobe suite (photoshop, illustrator, indesign at minimum; premiere pro a bonus)
• comfortable using AI tools as part of your workflow - but with the conviction that AI is a tool in the kit, not the artist
• strong typographic instincts and an eye for layout
• reliable, communicative, able to turn around a poster on a tight timeline, checks over work produced
• opinions - we want someone who pushes back, suggests better, and helps shape the direction - not someone who just executes briefs

Benefits of working at Farrago

• hours: ~8 hours per week
• rate: £500/month, freelance (paid monthly)
• location: part-remote, ideally london-based so you can come to events and team socials. attendance isn’t compulsory but we’d love you to be part of the community.
• contract: freelance, rolling
• start date: july 2026

• free entry to every farrago event (and members event), with a +1
• real creative ownership - your work will be seen by thousands of people every week
• direct line to the founder; a seat at the table on creative direction
• be part of a small team building something that’s scaling fast - birmingham, manchester and an active seed fundraise underway
• portfolio gold: weekly live work in a category most designers never get to touch
