Preen have captured the imagination of audiences across the country with songs about Midsomer Murders, snorkelling, car crashes, and failed actors. Now a five-piece, they blend three-part harmonies with story-led melodies to bring a feel of both the classic and the new. They regularly sell out headline slots on the London circuit and beyond. They have recently played Greenman festival, Wychwood festival, Get Together festival, Ritual Union festival and more. Their latest release is a double-single and music video. They are heading to the isle of wight this month to record their next project.

My most recent project is inspired by a series of nightmares I had as a child featuring the painting ‘Miss Wong’ by Vladimir Tretchikoff, which hung in my living room when I was growing up. Inspired by the paintings vivid colours and the subjects piercing stare, I have made a wardrobe of clothes for this nightmare woman. Featuring over the top colours and prints that swarm around the body and unconventional silhouettes and pattern cutting, in order to emulate the disorienting feeling of being in a nightmare.

After she released her first EP on Detroit Underground in 2017, she’s been into the world of electronic music. She performed regularly at electronic music parties, festivals and radio shows in Tokyo and around the world. In 2022, she moved to Bristol to further explore music. Saskia is passionate about experimental music that combines elements of broken beats, bass, techno, tribal, cinematic and funky. With the concept of 'Sound to _____ this magnificent cell' at her core, she lands floating and then ventures off again to another place.
